Instructions
Prep the flowers: carefully remove the inner stamen, then carefully wash and dry the flowers.
Make the batter: Whisk the eggs and grated cheese. Whisk in the flour. Then whisk in the beer/sparkling water.
Add oil to a frying pan - enough to come ¼ inch up the pan. Heat the oil over medium - high heat.
Meanwhile have a plate lined with paper towel ready on the side.
Drop some batter into the oil. If it quickly sizzles, you know the oil is ready.
Dip the flowers into the batter and place them in the oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden in colour and then flip. Cook another 1-2 minutes.
Remove the flowers from the pan and place on the paper towel lined plate.
